התייעצות לשדרוג המחשב

אני מעוניין לשדרג את הזיכרון ראם במחשב שלי, כעת יש לי 2 ג'יגה ואני רוצה להעלות ל3 ג'יגה.
השאלה האם אני צריך ששני הזכרונות יהיו אותו דבר בדיוק גם בחברה וגם במהירות MHZ וכו'.. או שאין יותר מדי חשיבות?
